Current threats to our trees

England’s tree population is under threat from a number of pests and diseases, many introduced accidentally from other countries through the importation of infected young trees or carried to our shores by weather systems or as stowaways on imported timber.

Early identification of pests and diseases is essential to control the spread of these destructive conditions. In some cases, early intervention by expert arboriculturalists, Elmbridge Tree Services can save a tree and/or prevent further spread of the problem.

Some of the most worrying threats to our trees are described here.
